Home appliances maker Whirlpool of India has registered a 26 per cent decline in its net profit at Rs 51.05 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2011, against Rs 64.20 crore in the quarter ended June 30, 2010.
According to a BSE filing, net sales declined by 7.76 per cent to Rs 790.50 crore from Rs 857.08 crore.
For the year-ended March 2011, the company had a net profit of Rs 166.04 crore and net sales of Rs 2,611.93 crore.
Shares of Whirlpool of India were trading at Rs 213 on the BSE, up 0.42 per cent from the previous close.
