Consumer durables major Whirlpool has posted 49.13 per cent increase in its third quarter net profit at Rs 24.10 crore against Rs 16.16 crore in the corresponding period previous fiscal.
In a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange, the company said that its net sales during the third quarter ended December 31, 2010, rose to Rs 600.27 crore from Rs 504.15 crore in the same period last fiscal.
The company shares were trading at Rs 243.50 in the afternoon trade on the BSE today, up 12.34 per cent from its previous close.
