Results of the most-awaited elections in the second half of 2022, were out on December 8. Not surprisingly, the incumbent Bharatiya Janata Party managed to retain another term in Narendra Modi’s home State while the Indian National Congress managed to win 40 out of 68 seats in Himachal Pradesh. We analysed the educational qualifications, criminal background, assets and winning margins of the new MLAs and here is what the data tell us.
