The five-day International Shimla summer festival, a popular event during which Himachal Pradesh sees an increase in tourism, will begin on June 2, a top official said today.
Noted playback singers Abhijit Chatterjee, Sudesh Lahri, Keka Ghoshal, Anand Raj and Punjabi pop singers will perform at the festival to be inaugurated by the Governor, Ms Urmilla Singh, on June 2, the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Mr Onkar Sharma, who is also the chairman of the organising committee, said.
