The National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC) achieved a record financial disbursement of Rs 4,703 crore during 2010-11, as compared with Rs 3,784.65 crore disbursed in the preceding fiscal.
It also sanctioned an all-time-high amount of Rs 6,292 crore during the recently ended fiscal (up from Rs 5,046.32 crore), the Union Agriculture Minister, Mr Sharad Pawar, said at the Corporation's 71st General Council Meeting here on Wednesday.
The meeting approved projects involving a financial outlay of Rs 4,000 crore for 2011-12, while noting that the recovery rate of loans extended by NCDC to cooperatives continued to remain high at 99.7 per cent.
