The edible oils markets ruled steady on Wednesday with activities being limited in resale. Weak closing of Malaysian palm oil futures and gain on domestic soya oil futures kept sentiment cautious among players. On the Bombay Commodity Exchange, Palmolein and sunflower oil declined by ₹1 and ₹5 for 10 kg each.
Cottonseed oil gained ₹1. Groundnut, soya and rapeseed oil ruled unchanged. Morale was steady with need-base limited activities, said sources. On The Bombay Commodity Exchange, spot rates (₹/10 kg) were: groundnut oil 950 (950), soya refined oil 573 (573), sunflower exp. ref. 570 (575), sunflower ref. 625 (625), rapeseed ref. oil 690 (690).
