The State-run trading firm MMTC has invited bids for import of 4 lakh tonnes of di-ammonium phosphate (DAP) and 2.85 lakh tonnes of complex fertilisers for the ongoing the kharif (summer) season.
The last date for submission of bids for both DAP and complex fertilisers is June 19 and a decision on the award of contracts for both the fertilisers would be taken on the same day, MMTC said in a notification on its Web site.
In the case of DAP, the company said the shipment is to be discharged at Vizag (Andhra Pradesh), Mundra (Gujarat), Tuticorin (Tamil Nadu), New Mangalore (Karnataka), Kandla (Gujarat), Krishnapatnam (Andhra Pradesh) and Rozi (Gujarat) ports between June and July.
For complex fertilisers, the shipments should reach India between July-September at Vizag, Kandla and Mundra ports, it added.
The Government has pegged the demand for DAP at 6.94 million tonnes and complex fertilisers at 5.55 million tonnes for the current kharif season.
