Riding with the Blue Economy wave, the Kochi based seafood exporter Kings Infra Ventures Ltd has unveiled its strategic growth vision and expansion into Andhra Pradesh, a leading aquaculture state with over 32 per cent of national seafood exports in FY24.
The company announced business collaboration agreement with Aadhya Seafoods in Andhra Pradesh to ensure developing a strong shrimp supply chain conforming to Kings Infra’s quality and sustainability benchmarks.
Presenting a road map at the business meet, Shaji Baby John, Chairman & Managing Director said the objective is to make the company into a future-ready, global seafood platform. “We aim to transform the entire farm-to-fork value chain using smart technology and sustainable practices”, he said.
A major announcement was the proposal to develop BlueTechOS—a next-generation digital platform to streamline and unify Kings Infra’s entire aquaculture value chain. BlueTechOS will aim to provide real-time farm and environment monitoring with predictability and inbuilt corrective strategies; Batch-level traceability using blockchain; automated compliance and logistics documentation; QR-code enabled transparency for retailers and consumers.
Focussing on market-led expansion, the company is looking at seafood exports through the ports of Vizag, Tuticorin and Kollam. A land monetization policy is also on the cards by unlocking ₹150 crore over three years through joint developments and asset sales in Tuticorin, Kochi and Bangalore.
There are also plans to expand its branded retail by scaling premium brands Frigo and Bento by adding 100 retail points in five year; developing land based shrimp aquaculture through eco-efficient, tech integrated farming as well as setting up a Maritech Eco Park for indoor precision aquaculture.
The company also announced a key leadership transition from a family-led structure to a professionally managed organization, with two experienced industry leaders at the helm.
Sreeram Inagalla, Chief Operating Officer – International Business, will oversee global operations and exports, with expansion beginning from Dubai. Joseph Ragunath, an entrepreneur with a background in agri and food systems will lead domestic operations including farm and processing scale- ups.
