SKM Egg Products Exports (India) Ltd introduced Best Egg White Cube, a novel product in the domestic market.
Described by the company as the first such product in India, the Egg White Cube made from chicken egg white, has been developed in house by the company and can be used in various dishes and is also ready-to-eat.
Available online and in retail outlets, Egg White Cube packs are priced at ₹50 for 100 gm, ₹100 for 200 gm, ₹240 for 500 gm and ₹480 for 1 kg.
A serving of 100 gm Egg White Cube provides 14 gm of natural egg white protein.
“It’s a zero fat and no cholesterol product,” SKM Shree Sivakumar, Managing Director of SKM Egg Products , said at the formal launch here.
This premium is currently available in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu and will be expanded to pan-India in a phased manner. “Our target is to reach four southern markets in the next two years,” he said.
The launch also marks company’s plans to target the domestic market. The ₹218-crore company, which secures more than 90 per cent of revenues from exports, seeks to grow the share of domestic revenue with the launch of value-added products such as Egg White Cube in the coming months.
SKM processes 1.8 million eggs every day in its EU certified plant. Its exports to 27 countries.
