Sugar market ruled flat on Wednesday on routine demand-supply. Prices at Vashi remained range bound with ₹4-5 volatility on routine activities.
Naka and Mill tender rates were steady on ease-need base bulk demand. Morale was steady at the end of the day, said sources.
Arrivals at Vashi were at 60-62 truck loads’ worth, and local dispatches were at 58-60 truck loads. Freight rates were steady at ₹80-100 per quintal. On Tuesday evening, hardly 22-24 mills offered tenders, and sold about 64,000-65,000 bags at steady rates of ₹3,100-3,150 (₹3,100-3,150) for S-grade and ₹3130-3,180 (₹3130-3,180) for M-grade.
The Bombay Sugar Merchants Association's spot rates were: S-grade ₹3,216-3,272 (₹3,210-3,272) and M-grade ₹3,246-3,352 (₹3,246-3,356).
Naka delivery rates were: S-grade ₹3,220-3,250 (₹3,220 -3,250) and M-grade ₹3,240-3,300
