Music composer and producer Akshai Sarin is readying to do India proud at the London Olympics 2012. Sarin has been extended an official invitation to perform at an exclusive event at the Olympics.
Sarin will be performing at the launch of the ‘Walk a Mile’ campaign at the Hospital Club on July 24. Some of the special attendees would include luminaries from a cross-section of fields including Bill and Hillary Clinton, Michelle Obama, George Soros, Richard Branson, Warren Buffett and the UN Secretary-General, Mr Ban Ki Moon, the Saudi and British Royal families, amongst others.
International artists including U2, Mick Jagger, Alanis Morissette, Moby, Joss Stone, David Bowie and Peter Gabriel will also be present to perform.
The performance will include the collaborative track for ‘Walk a Mile' as also an upbeat house and dubstep tracks, with an Indian twist to it. Says an excited Sarin, “Bill Clinton is expected to bring his saxophone, and Bono from U2 and other performers may well join us on stage for a jam at the end.”
