Business Line is organising a talk on the Budget at the VUDA Children's Theatre on Friday from 4 P.M. to 6.30 P.M. It is sponsored by Tata Photon Plus.
Management students and others are invited to participate in the session, as experts from various fields will analyse the Budget and its implications for the common man and the corporate sector.
Mr G.V.L. Satya Kumar, the Deputy Chairman of Visakhapatnam Port Trust, will deliver the keynote address, with special reference to infrastructure and logistics. Prof. Harinarayana, Pro Vice-chancellor of Gitam University, will present the macro picture keeping in view concerns on inflation, economic growth, fiscal deficit and budgetary allocations.
Mr O. Naresh Kumar, Chief Executive Officer of Symbiosis Technologies, will speak on the impact of the Budget on the IT industry and the move to impose MAT (Minimum Alternate Tax) on special economic zones. Mr V. Ravindranath, advocate and tax consultant, will deal with customs duty, central excise duty and service tax. Mr. Chandrasekhar Veeraghanta, chartered accountant, will speak on corporate tax and income-tax proposals.
There will be a question-and-answer session at the end and participants can get their doubts cleared.
