A special court for Central Bureau of Investigation on Monday denied permission for narco tests on Kadapa MP, Mr Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy, and his auditor Mr Vijaysai Reddy in the illegal assets case.
Responding to a petition filed by the Central Bureau of Investigation, the court said performance of narco tests without the consent of the accused was against the guidelines of the Supreme Court.
The investigating agency filed the petition stating that narco tests were necessary as many rounds of interrogation of the accused did not yield any information.
Mr Jaganmohan Reddy was arrested in May and is presently under judicial remand in the Chanchalguda jail here.
The CBI, so far, filed three chargesheets and one supplementary chargesheet in the case.
