Cochin Shipyard Ltd delivered the eighth of the series of 20 fast patrol vessels being built for the Indian Coast Guard. The vessel is named ICGS Amartya and will be operated by the Coast Guard Station at New Mangalore. The first vessel in the series was delivered on the September 25, 2013 and in a span of one year, the yard has been successful in delivering eight fast patrol vessels to the Coast Guard. CSL also delivered a high-end platform support vessel ‘Sea Triumph’ on the same day to PSV Holding Inc, Liberia.
