In a training sortie of HAL Rotary Wing Academy's Schweizer-300C helicopter, flown by Air Commodore (retd) Roj Assey along with a trainee, Capt Digvijay Singh, which took-off at 2.30 p.m., flew for 2.10 hours, made an emergency landing on top of BEML building in Bangalore.
The helicopter landed near BEML Kalyana Mantap.
According to a HAL press release, there are no damages to the building, both the pilot and the trainee are safe and helicopter sustained some damages.
Air Commodore controlled the helicopter to make an emergency landing on top of the building as there was no open place available in the near vicinity, where he could have landed immediately.
The cause of emergency landing is being ascertained.
