A Gulf Air flight shot off the runway at the Kochi international airport as it touched down the tarmac on Monday. The accident occurred at 3.50 a.m. Airport officials attributed the accident to turbulent weather and the consequent low visibility standards. Passengers have been stranded at the airport as domestic and four international flights have been diverted to neighbouring airports.
