An accidental fall of a glass door has injured a technician at the Chennai airport this morning. He was given first aid at the local medical centre.
According to the Airports Authority of India press release, Chennai airport has initiated an exercise to check all the glazed doors and fittings systematically. This is to minimise the chances of glass breakage/shattering at the terminal.
The technician, while checking the alignment of the visitor entry door at international departure gate no 3, got injured. There was no visitor inside the terminal and no operations were affected due to this incident, the release said.
