A mobility application that can pick and drop you off, on-demand electric auto rickshaws and pre-booking services have emerged as winners in a competition for innovative solutions for metro rail customers.

The final leg of the Station Access and Mobility Programme (STAMP) Challenge was organised jointly by Toyota Mobility Foundation (TMF) and L&T Metro Rail (Hyd) Ltd here on Saturday. Out of 85 contestants, 11 were short-listed and presented their pitches in the final round today.

A panel of judges, who reviewed the pitches, had adjudged Mobycy, a dock-less multi-modal shared mobility app that deploys smart bicycles, e-bikes through QR codes, Three Wheels United in partnership with Bykerr which provides on-demand electronic auto rickshaws and Journee that offers integrated ticketing and analytic solutions as winners.

In its second year, the open innovation challenge brings together ideas from technology and service providers, mobility entrepreneurs, NGOs, corporations and citizens to improve access and last-mile connectivity to mass transit systems.
