S. Natarajan, Chairman, V.O. Chidambaranar Port Trust, Tuticorin, in a release, said that the Port created a record in handling of Salt in bulk on Saturday. A quantity of 13,200 MT of salt in bulk was loaded in the vessel M.V. Great Gain ,the highest tonnage ever achieved in a single day in the Port, breaking the previous record of 8,910 MT of salt in bulk loaded in the vessel MV. AIN TEMOUCHENT, he mentioned.
