Shared mobility platform, Zoomcar, has introduced 25 Mahindra e2oPlus electric cars at Miyapur metro station in Hyderabad for commuters. The move is expected to facilitate the travel of metro commuters providing last mile connectivity.
Presented as an affordable and a convenient self-drive option, this is seen as another initiative for metro last mile connectivity. The rental charges for these electric vehicles start at Rs 8.50 per km and provide cost-effective and eco-friendly option for commuters.
Zoomcar is also planning to expand the service to enable one-way movement to the IT hubs of Madhapur and Gachibowli for tech employees who can benefit from these services. The electric vehicles would enable IT employees to commute between their office and metro stations.
Zoomcar had earlier deployed 20 electric cars on its platform in Hyderabad.
Zoomcar’s PEDL, a cycle- sharing service has deployed around 500 cycles across Hyderabad including Gachibowli, Madhapur, Ameerpet and Begumpet. The charges for cycles are Rs 3 for 30 min.
