The Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh, will visit West Bengal on August 21 and 22. The Chief Minister, Ms Mamata Banerjee, will meet the Prime Minister on August 21 over dinner.
On August 22, Mr Singh will attend the golden jubilee celebrations of the Indian Institute of Management-Calcutta and the convocation ceremony and diamond jubilee celebrations at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur.
He is also expected to attend the diamond jubilee celebrations of Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics.
