The power supply, which was severely disrupted due to the failure of the northern grid, has been restored in almost half of Uttar Pradesh.
“The power supply, which was severely affected since 2.30 am due to the failure of the Northern grid has been restored in 50 per cent of the areas in the State. The supply in Lucknow was restored by 6.30 am and in Varanasi by 10.30 am. Power would also be restored in western Uttar Pradesh as soon as the thermal power plants started regeneration.” said Avnish Awasthi, MD, Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Ltd.
