Eyewear retail chain Vision Express plans to end this fiscal with 154 stores. Launched five years back, Vision Express is positioned at the lower end of the Rs 4,000-crore Indian eyewear market.
The chain, comprising entirely of company-owned stores, offers a single private label brand (Vision Express) at all its stores. Product categories at the stores include spectacles, sunglasses and contact lenses.
Mr Guillaume Brouwet, CEO, Vision Express, said the company has a presence in all the key markets in the country. The retail chain plans to add another 60-70 stores during the next fiscal.
Vision Express is a joint venture between Reliance Retail and GrandVision B.V, a Netherlands-based global eyewear chain.
GlobalVision has 4,000 stores in 40 countries across Europe, Latin America, West Asia and India.
