BusinessLine has put together a panel of thought leaders to discuss what more can be done to empower women across all walks of life.

The seminar, to be held on Friday, will provide a platform for women professionals to interact and network to enhance professional development and find practical solution to address the challenges of career advancement. Women leaders will talk about the initiatives they have undertaken to encourage employment for women and how they overcame blocks in their own life.

The speakers include Brinda Miller, Art Curator; Naiyya Saggi, Founder, BabyChakra; Surekha Desai: Senior Vice- President, Vodafone India; Radhika Gupta, CEO, Edelweiss Asset Management; Rupa Naik: Senior Director, World Trade Centre Mumbai; Kavita Kane, Writer and Author; Nirmika Singh, Executive Editor, Rolling Stone India and Latha Srinivasan, Deputy Executive Editor, NewsX .

The panel discussion will start at 3PM at the World Trade Centre, Mumbai where about 100 women delegates are expected to participate. This is the second edition of the event to celebrate International Women’s Day.

The 2017 edition was attended by Bollywood actress Dia Mirza, Namita Vikas, Group President — Climate Strategy and Responsible Banking of YES Bank; Kiran Manral, Columnist; Rupa Naik, Director, World Trade Centre; Nidhi Lauria, Business Head (Assam and North-East), Vodafone India; Tanu Mehta, Independant Legal Counsel and Mediator at Bombay High Court, and Ann-Carin Mansson, HR Manager for India, IKEA Business, participated in the seminar.
