GSM operators added over 11 million new subscribers in April taking the total to 580 million. Bharti Airtel, Vodafone Essar and Idea Cellular added 2.4 million new users each. State-owned BSNL had a poor month with just 6.9 lakh new subscribers. Among the new players, only Uninor had more than a million new subscribers. Overall, Bharti now has 164 million subscribers followed by Vodafone with 136 million.
