Aircel has announced launching of its 3G services in Itanagar and Naharlagun, which customers can avail of on their mobile phones or via Aircel 3G dongles.

“Being one of the market leaders, we aim to increase 3G penetration and adoption in the region by redefining user experience,” Nilaj Mahalanavis, circle business head (north east) said here yesterday while launching the service.

As part of its services, Aircel has launched a new offer ‘3G Good Morning’ where customers will get unlimited data free and browse up to 100 MB with 3G data speed daily between 4 am to 8 am, Mahalanavis said.

Moreover, for customers in Itanagar and Naharlagun who have high data usage, the company is offering a dongle plan with 4GB data, which will be available at just Rs 1,495, he said.

In addition, there are a wide range of 3G plans starting at Rs 8 to choose from.

“Aircel is one of the market leaders in the North-East and it gives us immense delight to expand our 3G footprint in the region,” Mahalanavis said.

Aircel has registered high growth in the N-E as its 3G subscriber base grew by 37 per cent in 2013 while 3G data revenue increased by 200 per cent, Mahalanavis said.

“With the launch of 3G services in Itanagar and Naharlagun, we will provide our customers fast and seamless data connectivity at their fingertips 24X7,” Mahalanavis said.

“Now our customers here can access live streaming videos, HD content, gaming, social networking and browsing at faster speed,” he said.

Aircel has led the data revolution in India by launching Poket Internet, which changed the way Internet on mobile was perceived and accessed, he said.

Recently, Aircel launched some innovative 3G products in the NE including video calling and unified data tariffs, Mahalanvis added.
