MakeMyTrip has launched mobile apps for Android devices and the iPhone and an upgraded HTML site for smartphones. Following the launch of the Blackberry app, the new one marks a comprehensive mobile suite from MakeMyTrip that offers its services across all mobile devices, and is designed to make travel planning fast. “India is amongst the top five countries in the world in mobile search queries, growing at 170 per cent year-on-year. MakeMyTrip is one of the top five most-downloaded travel apps in India. We noticed this only with the BlackBerry app on offer.” said Mr Amit Somani, Chief Products Officer, MakeMyTrip.com. In addition to the regular features, the app also provides alerts on updated flight schedules and allows users to share their itineraries on Facebook and Twitter. It also uses the device’s GPS capabilities to find the closest restaurants.
