Cyient, an engineering and geospatial solutions company, has signed an agreement with Telangana State Aviation Academy (TSAA) and the Telangana Government to develop and conduct Remote Pilot (Drone Pilot) Training and Certification Programmes. Cyient will provide the training tools, while TSAA will offer training services and infrastructure. The courses will be developed as per Director-General of Civil Aviation curriculum guidelines.
This will help create a pool of skilled drone pilots equipped to meet industry needs, Krishna Bodanapu, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Cyient, said. Cyient and TSAA will set up a drone pilot training facility, which will have simulators to train pilots. The five-day training programme includes components of theory, simulations, and actual drone flying exercises.
After successful completion, the participants will get a DGCA-authorised Remote Pilot Licence and Certification.
