HCL Tech has acquired Bengaluru-based privately held engineering services firm, Concept to Silicon Systems (C2SiS).
Anant Gupta, Chief Executive Officer of HCLTech, said the acquisition, which was for under $10 million, will help the company further extend its leadership position in the semiconductor and industrial IoT industry.
“With this strategic acquisition, HCL will be able to leverage C2SiS’ technical prowess in areas such as SoC, Physical design, etc, and will further extend its leadership position in the semiconductor industry,” HCL Tech said.
Areas of expertise “C2SiS today is empowering strategic change in a broad range of industries with its specialisation in system-on-chip and system design services and its client list includes Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 companies,” the company added.
C2SiS provides complete solutions for complex system-on-a-chip (SoC) and system designs with engineering capabilities and cost-efficient business model.
Its specific areas of expertise include high-performance processor cores, graphics and multi-media cores and derivative products with focus on area and power reduction, performance enhancements and cost reduction.
