Leading e-commerce technology solutions provider Infibeam on Friday announced the launch of yet another platform, www.shipdroid.com , for solving the logistics needs of online merchants.

Shipdroid is a one-stop logistics SaaS platform that enables e-commerce merchants to seamlessly integrate with a wide range of courier service providers in India on a single platform while maintaining uniformity of the entire logistics and fulfilment process across all courier partners, the company said here.

Merchants will get access to over 20,000 pin codes within India across 600 cities, the largest reach provided by any of the logistics partners, said Sachin Dalal, Co-Founder and Head of the Logistics Platform, Infibeam.

Over the years, data collected about pin code serviceability and the delivery performance of logistics service providers has made Shipdroid the best performing platform and an affordable partner of choice for its clients, he said.

Merchants across India have already signed up to use Shipdroid logistics services. They can choose from a variety of cost-based service plans based on their needs, budget and products being sold and also from the delivery commitments and mode of delivery.

This is a big step forward in streamlining the e-commerce experience for marketplace sellers for whom logistics is the most challenging and costly part of selling online. “Our technology and operations support will ensure that merchants find the platform convenient to use, increase delivery reach, save shipping cost per unit, and improve their customer experience with easy and fast online tracking.”

Dalal said Infibeam planned to launch this platform to local sellers as well those who wish to do a three-hour delivery.

Shipdroid will allow merchants to opt for the surface, rail or air mode. Alternatively, they can opt for express or regular delivery time. The platform offers an innovative one-stop shop for all logistics services, right from automatic allocation of courier to dispatch to last mile delivery of packages.

The Ahmedabad-based Infibeam retails more than 1.5 million products across 30 categories. It also runs another platform, BuildaBazaar, launched in 2011 to offer a technology platform through which any retail brand can build its own Web store in a few minutes. Today, BuildaBazaar hosts more than 17,000 retail stores online on its platform.
