Within days of its global launch, Samsung Electronics rolled out its Galaxy Note 5 smartphone in India.
Priced at ₹53,900 for the 32 GM memory variant and ₹59,900 for the 64 GB variant, it will be available in the Indian market from September 20.
The company said the device represents its commitment to the big screen smartphone market. HC Hong, President and CEO, Samsung India Electronics, said, “India is an important market for Samsung and is among the first few markets where the Galaxy Note 5 has been rolled out. The launch today is a step in meeting our commitment to Make for India.”
The company said the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is equipped with multiple features designed and implemented by the R&D team in India. The company said that camera modes of the device have been enhanced by the Live Video broadcast feature, which has been designed locally.
Besides this, features including Video Collage, Video Highlight, Shortcut Promotion Banner, One Touch Audio Controller and Quick Access 2.0 have been designed and implemented by the R&D team in India, the company said.
The device features a 5.7-inch quad HD Super AMOLED display, 4GB RAM, 16MP rear and 5MP front camera, 3,000mAh battery and is based on the Android Lollipop operating system.
