Xiaomi has launched the Redmi 2 and and Mi Pad in India. The Redmi 2 is priced at Rs 6.999 and the Mi Pad at Rs 12,999.

The Redmi 2 comes with an 8GB internal memory (expandable to 32 GB), and 1 GB LPDDR RAM. (The 2 GB RAM/ 16 GB memory version will be launched later.

The Redmi 2 comes with a 4.7” IPD HD 312 PPI screen, and is powered by Snapdragon 410 64 bit quad core 1.2GHz processor.

The device has dual SIM option and is compataible with 4G. It has Android 4.4 runs on MIUI 6 and comes with a 8 MP camera.

The Redmi 2 will go on sale on March 24. It will be available on Flipkart and registration is required.

Xiaomi also launched the MiPad at Rs 12,999. It is powered by NVIDIA Tegra K1 with 192 GPU cores and comes with a 7.9 inch IPS display. It has a 2 GB RAM and 16 GB internal memory, expandable to 128 GB via micro SD card. It has a 8 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front camera.

The Mi Pad also goes on sale on Flipkart from March 24, and registration is not required for purchase.
