MosChip Semiconductor Technology, a semiconductor and Internet of Things technology company, will acquire four companies -- Gigacom Semiconductor, California, Gigacom Semiconductor, FirstPass Semiconductors and Institute of Silicon Systems.
The board has given its approval for the definitive agreements for acquiring four companies, three from India and one from the USA. MosChip has named Venkata Sudhakar Simhadri as the Chief Executive Secretary with effect from July 24, 2018.
“The acquisition helps in recruiting and grooming talent pool along with revenues. These acquisitions will help us add nearly 250 engineers,” Ram Reddy, Founder Director of MosChip, said.
Besides, the acquisition would help the firm to expand its presence in the North American region.
Gigacom Semiconductor is focused on IP development and licensing apart from Mixed Signal Design Services. It has customers in the USA and India. FirstPass Semiconductors works in Design Verification, Physical Design and Analog Layout.
