Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and whether you’re planning something special or ignoring this love-fest altogether, technology is always here to help. We checked out a bunch of Android apps to help you get through the day, and here are three of them. There’s something for everyone, we promise!

 

Heart Radio  This one sounds like the perfect app for Valentine’s Day – what could make your day better than an endless stream of romantic music?  But sadly this one is more talk and less music. If you don’t mind irrelevant advertisements from the UK and if the Brit accent makes your day, then you wont mind this one at all. But if you’re waiting for some music to set the mood, this one might be more annoying than romantic. The good part though is that you can skip the Bollywood barrage and listen to an eclectic mix of old and new numbers – all about love, of course.

 

Valentine’s Day Cards  This one, honestly, is only if your significant other has a decent sense of humour. Single people – this one might be good for a few laughs by yourself as well. Ignore the annoying barrage of ads that pop up every few slides, and you get a bunch of cheesy images with hilarious lines like “When you love me like that I turn into ten grams of honey. So we can be sweet together.” Men can win some major brownie points with ones like “Oh, you little girl, you stole my heart. Never mind, I will steal you a kiss. That will make us even.” And the ladies can try this one out: “Sometimes I knock on doors of your heart just to make sure I still live there.” With this app, your valentine will be all smiles for sure! Or giggles. Maybe even peals of laughter.

 

Valentine’s Day  If you’ve been living under a rock all these years and have just woken up the week before Valentine’s Day and have an angry girlfriend, or boyfriend, breathing down your neck, then do download this app. Basically a primer for anyone who is discovering this flowery festival for the first time, this app has sections with everything from the history of V Day to the top 10 romantic gifts (perfumes are #1, apparently), and 12 pages of love poems – excellent for when you’re in a pinch and need to spew something romantic sounding – and even some “sweet recipes” to get you through this day. A one-stop app for those who really need it, it also comes with – get this – tips for singles! What more could you ask for, really??
