German technical services provider TUV Rheinland has set up a photovoltaic testing centre in Bangalore with a 10-meter Anechoic Chamber at an investment of Rs 13 crore.
This Chamber will support testing and certification activities for all industry segments such as medical, wireless, automotive, electrical and electronics.
The anechoic chamber will enable to test any electronic and wireless products for their radiations ranging between 9KHz and 40GHz in accordance with national and international standards. It will also support technologies like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Zigbee, GSM 3G and 4G.
“TUV Rheinland today is present in 18 cities in India and will continuously invest to expand its testing capabilities across India,” Dr Manfred Bayerlein, CEO, TUV Rheinland Group told Business Line .
“In the near future, we intend to diversify our portfolio with infrastructure and energy,” he added.
Wipro, Infosys, Nokia, Seimens and HP are some of TUV's customers in India and the Rs 7,600-crore company earns about Rs 60 crore from its India operations.
