5paisa Capital has reported a net loss of ₹25.3 crore for the fiscal year ended March 31. The net loss has widened in 2017-18, compared to the net loss of ₹11.7 crore recorded in the previous fiscal. However, total revenues surged 162 per cent to ₹19.65 crore in 2017-18 against ₹7.5 crore recorded in the previous year.
Commenting on the financial performance, Prakash Gagdani, Whole-time Director and CEO, 5paisa Capital, said: “We have seen robust growth in the past year with a surge in customer base and manifold increase in revenues. We have improved our platform with technology enhancements and simpler processes, and aim to upgrade further in the future. With the markets in a strong growth phase and investor sentiment improving, we expect to accelerate our business further.”
