To spread financial education in every district of the country, SEBI plans to empanel financial education resource persons.
Serving and retired school and college teachers of commerce, economics and finance, below 65 years are eligible.
Incumbents need to have at least three years of experience in teaching.
On selection, a resource person (RP) is expected to conduct a minimum of 12 and a maximum of 52 training workshops in a calendar year.
Selected candidates will be trained at Navi Mumbai, New Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai and Assam for a week.
On completion they would be absorbed as Certified Financial Education Resource Persons.
SEBI will pay an honorarium of Rs 4000 per workshop if conducted in home towns and Rs. 4500 elsewhere.
