Axis Mutual Fund has launched the Axis Equity Hybrid Fund, which will invest across equity and debt markets to generate stable returns for investors in the medium term.
The new fund offer will be open for subscription between July 20 and August 4. The minimum investment is ₹5,000 and it has direct and regular plans with both growth and dividend options.
The fund will endeavour to invest between 65-80 per cent in equity and equity-related instruments, while the remaining portion will be invested in debt and money market instruments. The fund will follow the Axis philosophy of bottom-up investing in high-quality stocks and target to generate sustainable long-term performance while containing the risk, said the fund house.
The returns from the fund are benchmarked to Crisil Balanced Fund Index.
Chandresh Kumar Nigam, MD, Axis Asset Management Company, said the equity hybrid fund is aimed at investors who endeavour to participate in the capital appreciation opportunities that equity investments provide, while limiting the downside risk significantly using asset allocation to fixed income instruments.
