About 92 per cent of the offer at Sale No: 19 of the auctions of Coonoor Tea Trade Association was sold with the average price remaining flat at ₹99.19 a kg. Among the orthodox teas, Chamraj topped at ₹249 a kg followed by Kairbetta and Kodanad at ₹236 each, Havukal at ₹232, and Corsley and Nonsuch at ₹201 each.
Darmona Estate topped the CTC Leaf auctions and the entire CTC market at ₹187 a kg. Vigneshwar Estate topped the CTC Dust tea auctions at ₹171.
Quotations with the brokers indicated ₹88-94 a kg for plain Leaf grades and ₹112-118 for the best grades. For plain Dust grades, they ranged between ₹85-92 and for the best grades, ₹118-125.
