The Government needs to re-focus on integrating Commodity and Security Derivative markets, Mr Deepak Jalan, President of MCC Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said here on Thursday.
While addressing an awareness programme on commodities with Forward Markets Commission, Mr Jalan urged that the Government “should take a re-look into the earlier appeals” by traders in this regard.
Besides, he pointed out that there was a prior need to create “sophisticated” warehouses to boost commodity trading.
“Our country requires sophisticated, cost-effective and convenient warehousing facility to store the commodities which will raise the quantity of physical commodity,” Mr Jalan said.
