Mentha oil prices moved down by Rs 13.20 to Rs 946 a kg in futures trade today due to sluggish demand from pharmaceutical units.
Adequate stocks position following increased arrivals from major producing area of Chandousi in Uttar Pradesh also put pressure on prices.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in June declined by Rs 13.20 or 1.38 per cent to Rs 946 with a business volume of a single lot.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in May shed Rs 3.70 or 0.36 per cent to Rs 1,036 a kg with an open interest of one lot.
Market analysts said sluggish demand from pharmaceutical units against adequate stocks position mainly led to the decline in prices at futures trade.
