Refined soya oil futures prices rose by Rs 5.90 to Rs 624.80 per 10 kg today on fresh buying by traders, on hopes of pick up in demand in the spot market for the ongoing marriage season.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, refined soya oil for April contract rose by Rs 5.90 or 0.95 per cent to Rs 624.80 per 10 kg, with a trade volume of just one lot.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in March traded up by Rs 4.45 or 0.73 per cent to Rs 614 per 10 kg, with a business turnover of just one lot.
Analysts said fresh buying by traders, triggered by pick up in demand in the spot market, following the ongoing marriage season helped prices to trade higher.
