Root turmeric prices recorded a rise in Erode markets on Thursday.
At the Erode Turmeric Merchants Association Salesyard, finger turmeric was sold at ₹5,309-6,409 a quintal and root variety at ₹4,729-5,999. Of ,400 bags kept for sale, 516 bags were sold.
At the Regulated Marketing Committee, finger turmeric was sold at ₹5,169-6,389 and root variety at ₹4900-5,759. Of 925 bags of turmeric were placed for sale of which 654 bags were sold.
At the Erode Cooperative Marketing Society, the finger turmeric was sold at ₹5,755-6,491 a quintal, the root variety was sold at ₹5,159-5,759 a quintal. Of the total arrival of 676 bags of turmeric, 624 bags were sold.
