Gold futures on the Multi Commodity Exchange were trading up by 0.59 per cent at Rs 28,033 per 10 grams at 12.57 p.m. on Tuesday.
August contract opened higher at Rs 27,941 against the previous close of Rs 27,869. It made a high of Rs 28,057 and low of Rs 27,934.
In Comex, the yellow metal for August delivery was down by $5 at $1,378 a troy ounce at12.55 p.m.
