Amara Raja Batteries on Monday informed the exchanges that Nalanda India Equity Fund has raised its stake in the company by 2.09 percentage points. Following the acquisition, Nalanda India’s stake in the company rose to 7.23 per cent, it said in a notice to the exchanges. About 35.68 lakh shares were bought on Friday, the disclosure revealed. The shares of Amara Raja Batteries settled at ₹735.65 on the BSE, a gain of 1.6 per cent, over the previous day’s close.
