Sun TV Network's Chairman and Managing Director, Mr Kalanithi Maran pledged another 5.69 lakh Sun TV shares on July 19. In an announcement to the stock exchange on Friday, the company has said this transaction takes the total number shares of Sun TV shares pledged by Mr Maran to over 4.99 crore, which accounts for 16.45 per cent of his total holding in the company.
Till June 23, Mr Maran has pledged 4.93 crore shares, representing 16.26 per cent of his holdings.
Mr Maran holds 30.34 crore shares in Sun TV.
The company's share closed at Rs 302.25 on BSE, which is Rs 28 lower than the closing price of Rs 330.50 on July 19.
