Cipla was broadly firm in the morning session on Thursday. At 11.14 am the share led the pack on the BSE, trading at Rs 705.10. This represented a gain of 3.76 per cent on its overnight close at Rs 679.55.
Hindustan Unilever rose 2.79 per cent to trade at Rs 924.30 against Rs 899.20 at close yesterday.
HDFC built gains of 2.66 per cent at Rs 1,346.95. The share had closed the previous session at Rs 1,312.05.
Cairn India flared up 2.21 per cent at Rs 170.85 against Rs 167.15 at close yesterday.
HCL Technologies gained 2 per cent to trade at Rs 970.40 against Rs 951.35 at close overnight.
