JTL Infra on Monday said trial production has started at its greenfield manufacturing plant at Mangoan, Raigad, Maharashtra. The move was part of the company’s plans to geographically diversify its manufacturing locations and to meet the growing demand for its products in the domestic and international markets. Phase-I of the plant with installed capacity of one lakh tonnes per annum for manufacturing ERW black and pre-galvanised tubes, pipes and hollow sections, and solar sections, will be fully operational within Q4 FY19 and will fortify the company’s positioning in the industry matrix with increased sales and profitability. Dhruv Singla, CFO, said, “We are aiming to achieve optimum utilisation of this capacity by the mid of the year.” Shares of JTL Infra gained 1.47 per cent at ₹158.45 on the BSE.
