Pharma and IT shares were in the limelight on the BSE on Thursday. At 11.39 am Sun Pharma led the pack on the bourse trading at Rs 891.10 against Rs 868.45 at close yesterday. This was a gain of 2.61 per cent.
Lupin advanced 2.28 per cent to trade at Rs 2,079.75 against Rs 2,033.35 at close yesterday.
Wipro gained 2.06 per cent to quote at Rs 609.45 against Rs 597.15 at close overnight.
TCS marched up 2.01 per cent at Rs 2,639.65. The share had ended the previous session at Rs 2,587.70.
Infosys was up 1.17 per cent at Rs 1,174.05 against Rs 1,160.45 at close on Wednesday.
