TCS was the only scrip in the green on the BSE on Thursday morning. At 10.34 am the share was trading at Rs 2,575 against Rs 2,550.65 at close yesterday, gain of 0.95 per cent.
On the NSE too, BPCL and TCS were the only shares in positive territory. While BPCL was trading at Rs 837.15, up 2.06 per cent on its overnight close at Rs 820.25, TCS was trading at Rs 2,574.45, up 0.97 per cent on its Wednesday close at Rs 2,549.75.
The markets witnessed a sell-off on weak global cues today, especially concerns about the Chinese economy. It reversed most of the gains made in the previous session. While the BSE opened nearly 200 points down, the NSE opened down 90 points.
